Tuesday Captures

Spent a few hours at an eagles nest early. Saw the first Eastern Kingbird for this year. Also an Opossum that made the right choice and ran back in the grass when a truck came by instead of trying to cross the road. In the afternoon went fishing with my “Little Woman”. We caught a couple trout pretty quickly then I looked down and saw this water snake latching on to one of our fish  (pic at end of post) .The snakes must have been hungry as this snake came back and tried again along with two other smaller ones. A tap on the noggin’ with my rod tip made the snake let go. In all my years of fishing never had this happen before. Had hoped to get started with the garden but forecast calling for three or more inches of rain today and tomorrow so pics and gardening may have to wait. We did plant strawberries a couple weeks ago. Will post when I can if rain forecasts hold up…

That possum looks pregnant and that snake looks hungry! I’ve never seen a snake do that.
    Nice shots!
