To Apologize Or Not ?

I apologize for not posting sooner if you check back often. Don’t wish to waste any of your time. Started a post and tried to write it differently a week ago. Write a bit, research, write a bit more, read over what I have written. It just got more jumbled the more I worked at it. So guess I will stick to my old way of jotting down what flows in my mind at the moment. I know very well that it will be mediocre and that’s OK with me. I don’t want or need to be the best. Good works for me.

The reason this afternoon’s post is titled apologize or not comes from looking deep within my self to clarify my thoughts on the turmoil that will end I hope in a little over three months. I can vote to bring about change and hopefully find myself living again in a country trying to be united. Surely by that time my countrymen and I will have figured out how to deal with this virus. I doubt we will have defeated it. One does not defeat a virus but can build defenses to live without it overcoming us if our bodies are strong enough. Doing what we can to mitigate it in the mean time. You know what that calls for us to do without me telling you.

We are a mix, and I like a mix. If we all were the same life would be a whole lot less to look forward to each day. I enjoy sunny days, cloudy days, foggy days, rainy days, snowy days, windy days and especially mixed up days. Many times a change in the weather brought on good hunting, fishing, working, photographing, you name it conditions improved or got worse and I got to go home.

I suppose I could apologize for being white, a man, heterosexual, foul mouthed, lazy, over zealous, pompous, ass at times, that as a kid liked the Cleveland Indians due to the caricature of Chief Wahoo on their hat. But I happen to be human and make mistakes. As a human I can learn from those mistakes and correct them. Take that as an apology if you must. It does not bother me when a government official mandates something. I take a mandate as giving me the authority to act in a certain way. Which I will in what I feel is the right way that will not have an affect on anyone else. At times I may miss that attempt.

It is also human nature, to at times take ourselves and things to seriously. When that happens I try and step away from the problem come back later and the answer may be waiting when I study the trouble with a fresh mind. Besides remember I can be lazy and taking a seat and watching the sky and birds always a pleasure. Here is hoping that we all can soon find a way to apologize or not for our mistakes. We are human trouble comes and goes. It all works out in the end.

At the present time I am busy getting the farm and hopefully our old house in better shape. Busy with the grandkids at times. We will get to have our other grandson visit the farm for the first time next week. Can’t wait. Then will be blessed again with the other two for the following week. So posting will be when I can as it is not a priority right now. Thank You for visiting when you can for I enjoy sharing the wonder I get to see outdoors. Remember we will get through this and we will get through this together as the gov says, in my mind an open and honest man and I don’t apologize for appreciating his effort. Thank You Gov..

I don’t think you have anything to apologize for.
I hope the grand kids are making you feel young again.
Play with them, enjoy them, teach them. You’re very lucky to have them.

      NH Gardener,
The grandkids do make you think young but do tire us out sometimes. Fun to watch the simple play that can delight them. We do feel blessed to have them. Thank You…

It’s 7/25, Saturday. My first day back on my computer that was in the shop for repair for a week. What a joy I just had viewing all of your pictures and writings above. The plethora of your most gorgeous photos of the entire group I’ll call “throw back wonders” of the first day of your photos I did not see until now. The “Rest in Peace John Lewis” photos and thoughts in between. And this “Apologize or Not”? NOT! Your thoughts always stimulate me/those who care to read them, to think, just plain think. The coming back to your posts after a week of complete boredom (I still used my husbands computer for FB and emailing family a little each day.) as I came to the point that I mentioned to a nephew a few days ago that I was getting “bored out of my gourd” and he laughed, never having heard that term before. N.H. Gardener is so very right no apology necessary. Now, I must go back to the throw back photos and view all the posts of beautiful nature and your words of ‘wisdom’, thoughts along the way.

I should have also said that these great photos of the Osprey’s catch and the Heron’s miss, are a commentary in themselves.

        Ellen,
Glad you are back up and running so to speak. Have not been able to photograph for the past three days as our second grandson got to visit the farm for the past three days. He attached to me for some reason and pulled me around the place picking flowers and tomatoes as he went, forgoing all the walnuts on the ground occasionally, they have a walnut tree in their yard at home and he loves to collect the fallen nuts. He loved feeding the goats animal crackers and feeding the goldfish in the new goldfish pond we built. What an explorer he is leading me all over. In the house he likes to work the shape puzzles and would work them over and over again. Did not get to visit with my son and his wife for over five minutes as he would lead me away to check something else out. He sure has the stamina for a month over two years old. Glad you enjoyed the old pics. So much color this time of year. Have been to the river for a half hour or so on trash days, I can’t help but swing by the river to watch the Osprey and Heron. We will pick up the other two grandkids at a halfway spot and get to enjoy them for a week so will not have time to photograph but may do another look back post one day. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a note…
