Nice shot of the woodpecker! And the herons too. I’ve never seen them do that here but I’ve never seen more than one at a time either.
    Nice shots!

      New Hampshire Gardener,
First big woodpecker I have seen in a while. The heron will fight often over fishing spots below the dam here. Thank You…

Haven’t been on for awhile again. But again, the catching up and viewing such beautiful pictures was very enjoyable. The amazing beauty of so many colorful birds you capture is captivating. The stop action of the life of many fascinating. The red wing Black bird, chase and landing on the eagle; the face off of the heron; earlier the Mink and it’s variety of catches for the young; the background in photos so detailed with vast variety of foliage; loved them all.

      Ellen,
Glad you enjoyed the pics. Have not been able to get out for a few days. Dr’s appointments and hospital exam for my wife. All is good just time consuming to get those check-ups done. Thank You for stopping by and leaving a note…

I don’t need to know why your wife has Dr’s apptmts and hospital exams but I can empathize with her, as Doc apptmts keep both my husband and me busy. It’s exhausting in itself and the reason I do not get by here as often as I used to do so. But that is the reason I enjoy viewing a few days at a time when I do stop in. I said a prayer for your wife before responding to your response. May she have more good days than not.

          Ellen,
Regular check-ups and testing can be time consuming but need to be done as we age. I agree exhausting sometimes. Thank You for the prayers and she is doing well. I hope th e same for you and your husband…
