  1. You got some nice shots even if it was slow!
So far it has been slow here too. It has rained every day I chose for a vacation day, and on Thanksgiving too.

      New Hampshire Gardener,
Thank You. With the days shorter now it seems longer between days of sunshine even if it is not. Enjoy your vacation…

Slow but the shots of the Fish by the Kingfisher is fun and the beautiful Nuthatch is stunning. Eagles as always, wondrous, as they go about their time and flights having taken over the sky. BUT YESTERDAY’S DUCK FOR DINER is WOW, simply WOW. From the fluttering down of feathers and the total devouring of the duck details was picture perfect for putting together a video in my head. Would have been amazing to see. AND YOU LIKENING IT TO THANKSGIVING DINNER, fun.

    Ellen,
Thank You. It was neat to catch the kingfisher flipping the fish to get it in position to swallow. It took the eagle a good half hour to devour the grebe. I thought it was a grebe the whole time and really got lucky to catch the head so I could identify it. First time I have seen one with a grebe. Eagles seem to love coots, if you ever see one with a coot other eagles will be trying to steal it. Nice to have two of the nuthatch species here around the house…
