Seems you enjoyed your trip to the Sandhill Cranes; how very good for you! They surely have come back from just a minimal group of pairs. Seems in the last photo of them they landed all in a row just for the picture for you.
Also seems the eagles in the dead tree have paired up; they seem to be closely together.
Is there a juvenile hanging out in the same tree? Is that a usual thing? MCS

  2. Jim says:

    Mary S,
Yes it was a great trip. The eagles in the dead tree are a pair and have been for several years. They will tolerate the juveniles around until it gets close to sitting egg time. Then they run them off. Depends some what on the eagle pair in how long they put up with the juvies hanging around…

  3. The sunrise was beautiful and so is the shot of the mink!
