Red Shouldered Hawk Juvenile

It was a pretty tough shooting morning. The light poor. I did find one juvenile Red Shouldered Hawk in search of a meal at Kentucky Dam Village State Park. When I spotted it I stood in one spot and watched it shift from position to position studying the ground. Looking for mice, moles or voles I guess. The bird paid me no attention. Several time flying and landing about 35 feet from me…

  1. We’ve had the same light here for a week now and it does make it tough, but you got some great shots in spite of it!
