Move Forward And Rebuild

I visited a nest that was damaged in the high winds. Not directly in the tornado path, still receiving a large loss of the top half to almost two thirds of the nest. I was only there a short while but one eagle brought grass in. The mate flying in shortly after. They then flew out and mated on a branch by the lake. Accept and move on it seemed their actions might suggest. My little woman asked the kids and grandkids if the gifts we would have spent on them could be given to purchase needs for those struck by the tornado. They agreed so my wife and youngest daughter purchased and delivered needed items the day before. My wife and I assisted one of her cousins in covering the end of their house that lost a garage and breezeway to cover one end of the house that had part of the roof destroyed. Patching together the trusses and one wall and covering with metal from the destroyed garage and tarps. I am happy to report how all the folks there just accepted what happened and worked together to move on. Not hearing one complaint…

That was a great display of generosity by you and your family. If only we could all think that way!
I don’t know any of the people involved but I’ll still say thank you, just because I feel like I should.

      New Hampshire Gardener,
Went and helped another family today, covering stuff with tarps ahead of the rain. They had auto body shop wiped out along with plenty of damage to their home. Not my usual thing to do but feel compelled to help. So many of the folks not knowing the next step to do there is so much destruction. Look around and do what I think needs done one step at a time. Your Welcome…

Glad you went to the nest today…they have built it up a lot since only about 1/4 was left. I too saw that they just took it in stride and rebuilt… Rebuild and move forward seems to be the motto of western Ky.
