Mostly Rebuilding At One Eagles Nest

Been busy, not getting out much to photograph. Did get out yesterday morning. The eagles were busy too repairing the nest that had the upper half blown out by the storm as the tornado passed nearby. Will be busy as well for the next week with Christmas, so will not post again until around New Years. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year until next time…

The nest still looks quite big but I guess the eagles know what they want.
    Have a Merry Christmas!

      New Hampshire Gardener,
It would probably be big enough for one or two eaglets. But the last two years this pair raised three. It looks like not alot of room with the two adults in there now. The first year they built this nest they built it up to the top of the broke off branch in the front. Thank You, Merry Christmas to you and yours…

I’ve been overwhelmed by your posts of the last 2 months posts which I am just now seeing. My computer blocked this sight way back then and I just finally got it back. I’ve spent the last hour scrolling through all the Oct. Nov. Dec. photos. SO MUCH BEAUTY AND INTERESTING NOTES, AND NEWS UPDATES I MISSED. Would have commented many, many times. But I’ll just say, I’m so glad you didn’t have the loss of home in the big storm. AND I’M SO THANKFUL THAT PEOPLE AROUND YOU WITH NEEDS ARE BEING HELPED BY YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. Our area was not hit, but we still pray for those in Bowling Green, many whom we know. EAGLES, I’m still baffled by the metal tree and wonder how a family of Eagles will manage in it. I see how even the Eagles with the damaged by storm carries on with repairs. I’m glad to have found a new way to get into this site and look forward to seeing how 2022 will develop. (Short catchup from this end. Major health issues, and children’s, so far away, including those in MI and Romania, problems kept me from trying to get back on to your posts. But in the last 2 weeks all have been resolved. Finally looking to a good, maybe even great New Year. AND THAT INCLUDES BEING ABLE TO COME BY NOW AND THEN. I’ve really missed doing so. )

      Ellen,
Thank You for the compliments. Glad that you have found your way back. sIt has been interesting watching the young eagle pair building on the Osprey nest in the tower. Will be interesting too I bet if they raise a young one or two as they would still be in the nest when the Osprey return. Hope the health issues have improved. I know how it is with kids and grandkids living away. Tough, even harder during these covid times. Have been busy clearing out and tearing down an old barn on the place that fell down a little more as the tornado passed. Would like to get it done during the winter. Lots of physical work that is easier to do during cold weather. Not sure when I will get back to photographing each morning. Hope too soon. Thanks for leaving a note. I missed reading your notes and thoughts on what I have observed…
