Last Of This Past Week Captures

It has been a pretty pleasant week with the grandkids in for a visit. Yesterday was a misty rainy day where we could not get them out much. A short half-hour out to photograph in the morning before the rain got to heavy.

The eagles still working on the nest now and then. One morning they did a lot of work after the light got good which is unusual. The male eagle has been standing on the females shoulders a lot of mornings after they inspect the nest. Not mating but looks like a dominance posture. The female seems to initiate the action by leaning over as the females will do prior to mating.

Still a few folks fishing despite the rain and cooler weather. Some folks will fish all winter here. I used to before picking up a camera. Saw a few pelicans below Barkley Dam. The pelicans migrating back from up north. The fisherman kept the pelicans from getting very close to photograph. The grandkids will be going home Sunday. Will miss them. We will take a getaway to Eastern Kentucky the end of next week. So my posting will still be spotty for a while. Check back if you have time. It’s Saturday have a great weekend…
