Interesting Morning

I had trouble connecting to my web server this morning. Took a few hours to connect. Late getting this posted.

A friend called yesterday afternoon and said she had spotted a bunch of eagles. The eagles were around a field that is still holding water after recent flooding. Fish are still dying in the huge puddle basically. This may have been happening for some time as over a dozen eagles were there this morning scattered around the edges of the flooded field. The eagles nest I have watched for the past two years and did not nest to raise any young this year still is active. An immature eagle was in it early, then a male and female later on. I think this female is still a different one than I saw with the male last time I checked the nest a couple weeks ago. They ran off a juvenile that flew near. Spotted a wild turkey and it took off running. Hunting season has been in for a couple weeks. Saw a large catfish caught below Kentucky Dam on this windy cool morning. Lots of Osprey were fishing there as well…

  1. That is a big fish!
Our fields are flooded the same way. I hope the rain stops soon. That’s all it has done for the whole month of April.
Nice shot of the turkey. We have so many wild turkeys here now they’re letting hunters bag two of them. I see them everywhere.
