Happy At Home

After putting in a good days work around the place. I enjoyed a splendid hour picturing the birds. It is much easier to photograph wildlife when they are in a good feeding situation. That was what happened yesterday afternoon as the birds seemed to swarm in to catch a large hatch of termites. A splendid colored juvenile Summer Tanager the highlight. The bad thing was the termites were coming out of the eaves of our house. Oh, well maybe the old place will stay together till I croak. Still I am happy at home…

  1. They’re all beautiful but it’s hard to beat the color of that indigo bunting. My favorite color.
Nice shots! I hope those termites aren’t too hungry!

      New Hampshire Gardener,
To me the blue is prettier than the bluebirds shade of blue. Thank You. I replaced rafters around the chimney a few years back that had termite damage. We have a metal roof that has not leaks that I know of. Will have to get in to attic and check it out…
