  1. The pelicans don’t seem like very graceful birds but I like them. I’d like to see one with 3 gallons of water in its pouch! I wonder if it could get off the ground.
    That’s a great shot of the flying great blue heron/ Lots of detail in the underside of its wings. The light must have been just perfect.

      I doubt they could get off the ground if the pouch was full. When they scoop up a fish they hold the bills down and most of the water drains out before they swallow the catch. The light was great.
