Fall Break At Pensacola Beach

We had a wonderful time on fall break with our two oldest grandchildren. Harper now 9 years old and Nolan five. A place we had not been too before Pensacola Beach in Florida. What a bright cheerful place with bright painted houses and miles and miles of white sandy beaches. The kids loving swimming in the Gulf and fighting the waves. It had been a few years since I swam in salt water and loved it as well. I was way too busy swimming to take any pics of that action but it was a blast. There is the Gulf Island National Seashore at the end of the island. We made a short visit there and I photographed the birds I saw. If you ever get a chance to view this place do so. It is off season now so it was not that crowded anywhere we went…

Great looking place What house are you buying

    • Jim says:

      Jerry,
Yes, they were great looking houses. Too many people I would not want to live there but great to visit. My daughter rented a place, hell, I could not have afforded that.

This post brought back many memories. I lived in St. Petersburg and a lot of the houses looked like these, even back then. I don’t remember such nice mailboxes though.
The trip would have been worth it just for the sunrises. Beautiful!
And how the kids have grown. Love your daughter’s Halloween creations!

      New Hampshire Gardener,
It was great to walk the beach at dawn and watch the colorful sunrises each morning. The kids growing fast for sure. Will let my daughter know you enjoy her Halloween creations…

Amazing photos. Color so beautiful. Both the painted houses and the spectacular sunrises. And ‘fun’ mail boxes. Fantastic family memories. You’ve a lovely family. And the birds, I chuckled at the Mocking Bird, having been surprised to see it. I guess I just thought that could be my back yard. Thanks for all the ‘sharing’ of your time in Pensacola.

    • Jim says:

      Ellen,
It was a memorable trip. The grandkids so rapidly growing up. Yes, mockingbirds were plentiful and acted just like those here. Thank You and Your Welcome.
