Cold Winter Day In Western Kentucky 2019

It was cold yesterday with a high around 15 degrees. Found a few active eagles so the time passed and the cold did not seem so bad as the day before. Funny how when the mind is active observing and working the frigid air does not seem so bad. A short walk and except for exposed skin it warms one up pretty good…

  1. Mary S. says:

Jim, A Robin! Spring can’t be too far away from the minus 27 we had the last couple of nights. My sister always maintained that Robins wintered over here; she saw them but I did not. Robins and Cardinals, special memories. Thanks very much. MCS

  2. Jim says:

    Mary S,
We have robins year around. I think they may not be the same robins. Some from up north migrate down and our shift south also. They do make you think of spring. Your Welcome…

  3. You have to be careful in that kind of weather. I’ve been so absorbed by what I was seeing I’ve forgotten how cold it really was.
Nice shots, and nice to see a robin!
