  1. It looks like everyone is eating well. I never knew herons could catch more than one fish at a time. Great shots!

      New Hampshire Gardener,
Yes, it looked like all were catching this morning. The fishing was good and they let me get very close. About 10-12 feet from the heron. When the schools of herring are thick they can catch more than one at a time. Thank You…

The Osprey flying by with a fish with the fisherman faded out in the background made me chuckle. Seems like it’s a show off. Then the Egret eyeing its fish, eye to eye fascinating. The Blue Heron doing the same, its straight on close up appears like it is staring right at the camera. The quick action multiple pix of the Osprey and its twisting and spray of water while catching the fish, takes the ‘wow’ today.
Have been enjoying the all the pix the last few days, will miss them this next week as we take a vacation to see our grown grandsons and their parents in MI. But, I’ll catch up when we’re back in July.

      Ellen Bunnell,
The fishing was good for the birds and they allowed me to get quite close without paying me any attention. Allowed for some close up perspective. Have fun and enjoy your visit to MI…
