Bald Eagles In The Afternoon

What a splendid afternoon I had a couple days ago. Reminded me of duck hunting days. Hours and days of waiting. Then it happens and the birds start coming in. You don’t know where to look? The sound of eagles screeching at each other and zooming in to perch all around. You try but can not keep up with where all the eagles are located. To add to the fun the eagles came in all ages. Juvenile, Immature, Maturing and Adults. The following day the action once again returns to nearly nothing. Once again the anticipation, sheer boredom settles in. So thankful am I to have the chance to spend the time outdoors required to chance upon those almost magical times when it happens…

Odd, the feeling that I got, having read your script first, as I scrolled through the many photos. I scrolled more quickly than usual. One then the next, and the next. Feeling the excitement, not thinking of norseeing the beautiful details the first time through, just enjoying the ‘fun’ of so many ‘ages’ of Eagles zooming in. Only thing missing was the sounds, which were then imagined with the slower second look. Great batch of photos. Only a sampling of those you took, but fulfilled the anticipation the script provoked. As usual, thanks for sharing.

  2. No telling why they all came on that day I don’t suppose but I can tell you were busy!
    Nice shots!

      New Hampshire Gardener,
There is no way to tell what causes them to come in together on any certain day that I can tell. You just have to put in the time and be there. I was busy with several birds close enough to photograph. I just pick one. Thank You…
