Bald Eagles Around The Nest In Western Kentucky

Finally a morning without rain. The sunshine felt so wonderful. At one of the eagles nests the pair was active. What looked to be a successful copulation on a branch nearby the nest. The angle was not good for photography but it was good to view the positioning of the mating. Which looked good, female tail up, male under with tail down. If the copulation was a success, possibly a first egg to be laid in 5-10 days…

  1. I’m all for more eagles, so I’m hoping.
    Great photos as always!

Seems earlier than other years, though I do remember some ‘sitting’ on the nest with snow on their backs. Nice pix.
