Back To The Old Morning Rounds

nov182016dawndoublecreekIt’s always nice to get back home. Made my old morning rounds around the northern end of Kentucky and Barkley Lakes. Checked the eagles nest and the rivers below both dams. One of the eagles was in the nest and flew out quickly. There are pelicans scattered around in many of the bays of the lakes. The largest concentration I found was below Barkley Dam.

Back home we got a lot done around the place. The weather mild and breezy. The gusty wind bringing down showers of leaves and walnuts in the yard. Supposed to be a big change coming for this weekend. Welcome rain for this afternoon then cold through the weekend. Less than a week now until Thanksgiving. Hope you and your families get together and have a wonderful day…

  1. I think beautiful sunrises follow you wherever you go.
Those are great shots of the flying birds.
What a huge mouth those pelicans have. It looks like it could fit 4 or 5 fish that size in it!
