A Good Windy Day (continued on next post)

I had a good windy day yesterday. The temps above freezing but the windy making it feel very cold. The male from one of the nest I observe flew in and preened for about a half hour. Then tried a couple times to break off a branch. It was successful on the second attempt. I was luck enough to catch it but missed it landing in the nest. Shortly the male flew back in and perched above the nest. The female that has been missing for a while flew in and landed in the nest, yeah the male flying down to join her (pics tomorrow). I think what has been happening the last few days is the arctic front has pushed down some eagles from up north. The eagles from this nest busy chasing off the intruders. It is raining now ans supposed to steadily rain most of the day. So I don’t anticipate getting out today. Will save some of the pics for tomorrow. The last pic in the post today is a composite. A shot I hope to catch in the future close up of eagles going talon to talon. It usually happens to far away for a good capture…
