The Blessings Of Thanksgiving

This morning I am thinking about the blessings of Thanksgiving. As one who spends a large part of each day alone. That is alone except for the wildlife I so enjoy observing and learning about. It will be yet another blessing to have a day or two to spend with family. Time to rub elbows with our children and grandchildren. To catch up with what’s happening in their lives, play a few games, share a meal and offer thanks.

Observing a holiday when work is set aside for a bit. The gifts shared unlike the coming Christmas is the gift of appreciation of others. I do appreciate those who visit here to share in the bounty of wildlife. The beauty of the world we live in. The serenity and hope that comes with each sunrise. My time of day. What wonders will I get to see or not.

The absence, the hours of time when nothing is happening a necessity. Instead of anticipating a beat of wing or call. I await a crunching of gravel in the driveway. The barking of the dog that someone has arrived. For this too I give thanks. May your Thanksgiving be filled with anticipation and sharing. See ya when I see ya after the blessings of Thanksgiving have passed. Here is wishing you and yours a safe and happy time together……

And a Happy Thanksgiving to you too.
As to the times when “nothing is happening”: Perhaps more than you think is happening; that may be when creativity is at it’s highest, working silently within you. ‘
Again: Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. MCS

      New Hampshire Gardener,
Great that you will get out on Thanksgiving day. For over forty years I hunted every thanksgiving morning. I still do but now with a camera. A great way to build an appetite. Thank You it is great to spend time with the grand kids already. May your holiday be blessed with time with family as well…
