The second day I have spotted cormorants. A sign of the coming of spring as these birds return to the lakes and rivers here.

Green wing tag with white coding on pelican above means it was tagged as a fledgling at Gunnison Island in the Great Lake’s North Arm. If you spot a pelican with these green wing tags you can report them to johnneill@utah.gov

    I like the pelicans. They’re kind of goofy but fun to see.

      Me too about spring. The warm days make one yearn for more. The pelicans do have that goofy appearance and actions at times. Mostly driven by hunger it seems…
