Last Morning Captures Before Going On Vacation

It was the last morning to photograph before heading off on vacation Tuesday. It was a blast. For some reason the female Hooded Merganser’s were flying like crazy. Back and forth, round and round through the swampy area. Landing now and then on tall tree stumps. Then back off again. What fun trying to catch them with the camera as they went through gaps in the trees. One other interesting thing I observed was a Prothonotary Warbler caught a dragonfly by the wing. The dragonfly escaped less one wing only to be recaptured and eaten by the warbler. I will not post again until probably Sunday or Monday. June 3rd or 4th. Wish you good health while I am away. Please check back and Thank You as always for visiting…

Hi, this is Aviva from Kentucky Dam Village. I wanted to thank you again for stopping by the other day to introduce yourself. I’ve been browsing your blog, and I am just blown away by your photography! I don’t know how you manage to catch these wildlife during such fascinating moments of activity, but it is spectacular. Not only are your photos gorgeous, they also capture amazing natural moments that most of us do not get to behold with our own eyes. I am honored that you are willing to let us use your work for the park. You are a rare talent!

    Aviva Yasgur,
Thank You for your kind words. It was nice to meet you. Over the years we have spent many memorable get aways in Kentucky State Parks. Each park placed in such wonderful natural locations. Almost every day at home I get to enjoy natures wonders at and around Kentucky Dam Village. I feel that it is only right to share with others and perhaps they as well will stop by for a visit…
