Back To Cold Morning

Back to cold this morning. Temps just above freezing with steady wind. Back to heavy coat and freezing hands.

Yesterday afternoon I was in shorts and bare feetĀ  breaking theĀ  garden.

The eaglets at this nest get a mixture of food. They have been fed primarily fish, but also turtle, rabbit, and a small bird this morning. I am guessing a solitary sandpiper as I saw a few nearby. Just a guess though. Hard to tell even cropped in tight as the eagle flew by. But the small bird had a long bill…

  1. Your hands might have been freezing but they weren’t shaking. These shots are as good as ever!
    It’s nice to see the waders. We don’t see many of them here.

      My hands are used to the cold after this winter. I don’t use gloves, never have liked them. Thank You. Yes, we don’t have them here long but I love when a chance to see them passing through happens.
