A Favorable Wind

There was a favorable wind this morning. What I mean by that is the birds feeding on the river would set up coming towards me instead of heading away. This makes for a lot more opportunities. The favorable wind also gave me a better frame of mind. One would think that at my age I would not allow a negative attitude to affect me. There are times when the wind isĀ  blowing the wrong way and I allow my mindset to be poor. Shame on me. A positive attitude I well know comes from within. Remember it always I still must remind myself…

Your pictures (even the “Almosties”) are always great. I like the pix of the Cormorant in the last few posts; for some reason I like that bird; don’t know why. I like the pic of the deer peeking over the grass/or flowers from, I think, yesterday. The series of Osprey pix today are just about as good as they can get;–capture the flight, the plunge into the water, the lift out of the water perfectly. Humming Bird pix are portraits. You, indeed, (as you said a few days back) have learned to become an excellent photographer. MCS

      Mary S,
I too am a fan of the cormorants. Being dark they are tougher to get the detail they have. One shot I have not got this year is the blue inside the mouth of the adults. There was one tree they used to perch in in the afternoon and would be hot and panting that I could get that shot. The tree fell down last winter. As you know I love to shoot birds behavior when flying. Thank You for the compliments…

  2. The ospreys sure were busy this morning. I like the shot of the one diving.
The hummer and butterflies are great to see too! Nice shots!
