2017 Favorites Of Mink

I am finally back. Have not picked up the camera in almost a week outdoors. We had a splendid Christmas with the kids and grandkids in Louisville. Got home and are struggling to get the old house warmed up.  The weather turned frigid on us and will remain that way for a week. Something most of us in the country can share in. Each year attempt to pick top dozen photos from the year. I find it a nearly impossible task. I tried each day while I was gone for the holiday. Don’t know why but just can’t seem to pick favorites. This morning I narrowed the selection to mink. This I could do. For some reason the comments got turned off on my last post. Another wordpress glitch. I have found it and corrected it but can not get it to turn the comments back on for that post.

I hope that all of you had a great holiday.

Will try to get out this morning and get back to shooting. Big changes while I was gone. Here we had a lot of rain and the lakes have risen. The gates are open and they are discharging a lot of water at the dams. That along with the cold freezing up the sloughs and backwaters should have the eagles feeding below the dams. Ducks should also be forced back out to the lakes and rivers to open water. Pelicans should shift from the lakes to the tailwaters of the dams in larger numbers as well. We shall see. Stay warm. Sorry it has taken me so long to get back at it…
